Community guidelines
Most of ScaleUp is you against a hard question. Some of it is other people: the players you race and duel, and the feature requests players post for each other to read and vote for. These are the rules for that part, and there are not many.
The whole of it, in one line
Be the person you would want reading your own work.
What good looks like
- Write for everyone. Every player can read a feature request. Say what you want and why, in words anybody can follow.
- Say the hard thing kindly. A sharp note somebody can act on beats a soft one they cannot.
- Be specific. Name the screen, the step or the decision you mean.
- Vote rather than repeat. If a request already says what you want, vote for it.
- Let people be wrong. Everybody here is practising, which is the entire idea.
What other players see
Other players see your first name and the initial of your last name, never your full name.
A feature request is shown to other players without the name of the player who wrote it. A request with a link, an email address or a phone number in it waits for a person to read it before it goes on the board.
What puts a seat on hold
- Attacking a person: their identity, their background, their employer, their English.
- Naming or exposing somebody, whether it is your own private information or anybody else's.
- Passing off somebody else's work as your own.
- Sharing answers, in any direction, anywhere.
- Advertising, recruiting or spam.
- Anything illegal under Indian law.
A hold stops the account playing. It deletes nothing: you can still ask for a copy of your data and ask us to delete your account. A person decides whether to lift it. Write to admin@scaleupapp.club and we will tell you what it is for.
Telling us
To report a feature request, use Report on the request: you can report it from the screen it is on. We read reports within 24 hours and can remove the request.
For anything else, write to admin@scaleupapp.club. A person reads it, and nobody is told who reported what.
